Phillip Chumley, 66, of Cumming passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at Northside Hospital Forsyth following a period of declining health.
Born December 14, 1957 and raised in Dawson County, he had been a resident of Cumming for almost 50 years. Phillip was a wonderful storyteller with a great sense of humor. He never took himself too seriously, enjoyed life and loved to have a good time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Toy and Wynell Chumley and brother-in-law, James Hall.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Drew Glover of Canton; grandchildren, Caleb Glover and Ellery Glover; sister, Doris Hall of Cumming; nieces, Lisa and Jeff Perkins of Dawsonville, Leigh Ann and Phillip Dodd of Cumming; a number of other friends and relatives.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery. Sammy Harben will officiate.
