Myrtelina Travesier Hower

Mrs. Myrtelina Travesier Hower age 85 of Toccoa passed away Thursday October 31, 2024 at Habersham Medical Center.

She was born March 8, 1939 in Rio Piedras, San Juan Puerto Rico having lived in Toccoa for a number of years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was also active in the Christian Jail Ministry for a number of years. She loved her cats and enjoyed planting flowers and decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. Myrtelina was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Catrina and Nathan Brock of Toccoa, son and daughter-in-law Warren and Amy Kitchin-Hower of Annapolis, Maryland, step-son Matthew Sherwin of New York, grandchildren Austin Brock, Evan Brock, Luke Brock and Dania Wright and numerous friends and family in Puerto Rico.

Funeral services will be Monday November 4, 2024 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church with the Reverend Brett Sanders and the Reverend David Ritcey officiating. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of First Baptist Church on Monday from 1 P.M. until service time.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Warren Hower, Nathan Brock, Austin Brock and Luke Brock.

Interment will follow in Toccoa City Cemetery.
