Jimmy Satterfield

Jimmy Satterfield, 72, of Buford, GA, recently of Toccoa, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 3 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 4 PM – 8 PM at the funeral home and Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1 PM – 3PM prior to the service.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Satterfield; mother and stepfather, Corine Dodd Clark and Bud Clark; sister, Brenda Whiting. He is survived by his children, Jim Satterfield (Cheri) of Auburn, Jodi Slade (Brad) of Commerce, Justin Satterfield of Statham; grandchildren, Austin Slade (Taylor) of Toccoa, Kylie Ann Key (Colt) of Monroe, Conner Slade (Ryan) of Commerce, Tyler Satterfield of Auburn; great granddaughters, Payton Slade, Kora Key, and great grandson to be, Ryleigh Slade; sister, Roben Gray (David) of Buford.

Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Buford, GA, only recently moving to Toccoa. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Buford and worked at Scientific Atlanta and then retired from the Gwinnett County Sherriff’s Office. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Jimmy was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and friend. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by all.
