Thomas Davis, 43, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly October 26, 2024. Born October 1st, 1981 in Gainesville, Ga, Thomas was the beloved son of Kathy and Henry Davis, long time residents of Dahlonega where Thomas graduated from Lumpkin County High School where he played Soccer and Basketball.
Thomas began his culinary career in Atlanta and soon became a distinguished Chef at several Atlanta restaurants where his skill and hard work was acknowledged by his employers and peers. Thomas shared his love of food and his culinary talents to bring people together around meals that he took great pleasure in preparing. His talent and dedication lead him to a full time career. Most recently he was the Executive Chief at Gypsy Kitchen where he was celebrated for his hard work and commitment.
Thomas had a deep love for the outdoors and travel, finding peace and joy in hiking and camping. He cherished the simplicity and beauty of nature , a passion he carried with him throughout his life.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Kathy and Henry Davis of Dahlonega, his brother and sister in law, Brandon and Brittany Davis and their daughters, Emery and Audrey, of Cumming, GA, his loving partner, Danielle Schiller of Atlanta, GA, his aunts and uncles Darlene Deyerle, Phyllis Uptegraph, Jeffrey Jones and Tracey Jones. He will be missed by his two dogs, Cheddar and Whip. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends who will remember him with love and will miss his warm spirit and generous heart.
A celebration of life will be held at Camp Glisson Chapel in Dahlonega, GA on Sunday Nov 10th at 3:00pm where family and friends are invited to gather to honor his life surrounded by the beauty of nature that he loved so much. He will be interred at the Eco Eternity Forest at Glisson following the service.
