Joseph “Joe” Nathaniel Jackson

Mr. Joseph “Joe” Nathaniel Jackson, age 77, of Jefferson, GA died Friday, October 25, 2024 at Walden’s Cove Personal Care Home, Jefferson. Mr. Jackson was born in Jefferson to the late J.C. and Eleanor Potts Jackson. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, a veteran of the United States Army from 1968 – 1972, where he served in Vietnam and he was a Mason. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his brother, Brett Jackson.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Beth Perry Jackson of Jefferson; daughter, Heather Abbs Reid of Commerce; sons, Kip Jackson of Commerce and Heath Jackson of Jefferson; sister, Jean Bullock of Jefferson; brother, Brian Jackson of Carnesville; and grandchildren, Chase Crumley, Madison Holton, Payton Jackson, Paycee Jackson, Carson Jackson and Cooper Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 4 PM, Tuesday, October 29 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Swayne Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105. Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Chase Crumley, Carson Jackson, Jay Jackson, Rodney Chandler, Terry Potts and Ethan Holton.
