Lavonne Morris Westbrooks

Lavonne Morris Westbrooks, age 71, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by father, L. D. Morris. Mrs. Westbrooks is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Charles A. Westbrooks; daughter, Karen Von Westbrooks Purcell and son-in-law, Robert Purcell of Sugar Hill, GA; son, Kelly Westbrooks and daughter-in-law Vanessa of Montara, CA; grandchildren, Lily, Jamie, Haskell, and Lex; mother, Mrs. L. D. Morris of Decatur, GA; brothers, Christopher Roy Morris (Caroline) of Savannah, GA and Michael Frank Morris of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Westbrooks was born on October 8, 1953 in Savannah, GA and graduated in 1971 from Sequoyah High School in Doraville, GA. She was a senior case manager from American Arbitration Association, and she was a member of St. Martin of Fields Episcopal Church. Mrs. Westbrooks was a former Camp Fire leader, and she enjoyed editing and writing poetry, drawing, painting, and baking. She also really loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:30 p.m. until time for the service at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Lavonne Westbrooks.
