Richard Fred Woody, age 61 of Lula, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Born on June 24, 1963, in Gainesville, he was a son of the late Fred Junior Woody and Zona Marcelle Wiley Woody. Richard was owner and operator of Woody’s Wrecker Service for a number of years. In his spare time, he enjoyed racing cars, as well as buying and selling cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Marshall.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Marshall of Dahlonega; son, Michael Holtzclaw of Lula; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond Woody (Shelby); sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol Rylee (Dennis) and Regina Nash (Harold); grandchildren, Felicity Marshall, Kelsey Marshall, Cameron Marshall, Ryan Wade, Austin Holtzclaw, Jasper Holtzclaw, and Shyanne Holtzclaw; great granddaughter, Willow Holtzclaw; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 12 noon on Friday, October 25, 2024, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart, with Rev. Chase Rylee officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
