Laura Janice Price

Laura Janice Price, age 78, of Gainesville, Ga, passed away October 12th, 2024.

She was born May 16th, 1946 in Buford, Ga to Calvin and Helen Harper.

Janice was a devoted wife of 61 years, a loving mother, mother in law, and a wonderful nana. In her younger years she had a passion for everything outdoors and you could often find her deer hunting and camping with her husband Tommy and son Lee or gardening in the flower beds. As her health declined over the years she became a homemaker instead. She would often spend her days watching Hallmark Christmas movies, HGTV, The Food Channel, and QVC. Anyone that knew her knew of her love for a good QVC shopping spree! She also never denied her sweet tooth - we always made sure to save a piece of cake for her knowing that she would ask “what was for dessert...did you save me a piece?!”. The most important thing is that Janice loved her family more than anything and cherished each minute spent with each of them…especially the grandchildren and great grandkids. Her love for her family, friends, and The Lord were her biggest blessings in life.

Janice is survived by her beloved son and daughter in law, Lee and Sue Price; grandchildren, Anslee and Tyler Parry, Hunter Price, and Jackson Price; great grandchildren, Kinslee, Karsyn, and Kaden Parry; niece, Ginger Lewis and nephew, Vince Harper; sister in law, Becky and Mike Thompson, and brother in law Larry Price.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas “Tommy” Lee Price Sr.; parents, Calvin and Helen Harper; brother, Gerald Harper; sister in law, Wilma Price; niece, Krista Miller; and in laws, Grady and Marie Price.

The family will receive friends and family at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2030 Memorial Park Dr., Gainesville, GA 30504 on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm for a Celebration of Life.

The Price family would like to give thanks to Northeast Georgia Home Health (and a special thank you to Tracy and Mary) for all your help over the last several years. We would also like to thank NEGA Hospice for providing all the love and support you could offer during her last days. We will forever be thankful.
