Gill Edwin Johnson

Mr. Gill Edwin Johnson, age 67, of Buford passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Young Harris, Georgia at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Ricky Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was born July 22, 1957 to the late Harold & Mary Johnson in Duluth.  A member of Corner Stone Baptist Church in Young Harris he worked for the Gwinnett County Building and Development Department as a Senior Plans Examiner.  He was a loving, kind soul who was dedicated to his job and highly respected by his co-workers.  Everyone remembered him as always being friendly to all and very smart and knowledgeable in his job.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his brother & sister-in-law, Stephen & Anita Johnson; niece, Crystal Johnson; special friend, Gail Bass; and several aunts, uncles and nephews.
