Michael George Credidio

Obituary Date: Monday, October 14, 2024

Michael George Credidio was born on February 18, 1949, in Montreal, Canada.  He was adopted by Italian parents and came to the United States between the age of 1-2. He grew up having a loving relationship with his father whom he admired.  In March 28, 1968, he met the love of his life, Isabel, and they married on August 15, 1969.  Mike overcame the difficulties of his childhood to become a loving and devoted husband.  He also took pride in his role as a father and grandfather, finding immense joy in their accomplishments and happiness.  His love was a guiding light in their lives, and his wisdom and support were unwavering. Mike worked very hard and very long hours as a truck driver to provide for his family.  He spread his faith and pro-life views to everyone he met.  Mike was very well respected by his employers and co-workers for his strong work ethic and honesty.  As he grew in his relationship with Jesus, he was a well-respected member of New Covenant Church, where he was an usher, and was involved in care groups and in their marriage enrichment program.  Mike also took pride in his role as a hockey coach, instilling sportsmanship in his young players.  He endured many painful years as an avid New York Rangers fan, finally seeing the Stanley Cup hoisted in 1994.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Silvio Credidio and Palma Credidio, and his sister Lynn. He is survived by his beloved wife, Isabel Credidio, son Michael John Credidio and wife Silvana, and granddaughter Messina Credidio.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday October 20, 2024, between 1-4 pm at Flanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, 4400 South Lee Street, Buford, GA 30518, with Paster Mike Day of Celebration Church speaking. The reception will be hosted by the Tuscany Ladies from their VDC neighborhood.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Mike's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Tunnel to Towers, or Wounded Warriors.
