James “Bryon” Maness

James “Bryon” Maness 56, of Gainesville GA passed away on 10/12/2024 at home with family by his side after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Bryon was a beloved husband, father, step father, son, brother, cousin and friend. He was a man of unbelievable faith and a proud member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

Bryon was NASCAR’s #1 fan. #9 for life! He loved The Atlanta Braves and Georgia Tech.

Bryon loved being a Papa to his 4 grandchildren most of all.

Bryon was preceded in death by his Grandfather Clyde Mincey, Beloved Grandmother Grace Mincey and his Aunt Melva Mincey.

He is survived by his wife Laura Maness, son Brandon (Ashley) Maness, step son Tyler Thompson, 4 grandchildren Amber, Grayson Gracie and Alora Maness, and his mother Linda Myers Tumlin, brothers Chris (Wendy) and Scott, sister Lynn, (Jerry) brothers in law James Thompson and Michael Thompson , many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16th at Mountain View Baptist Church 3765 Mountain View Rd. Gainesville, GA 30504. Rev. Bobby Brown will officiate.
