Pearl Samantha Power Burdett

Pearl Samantha Power Burdett, age 90, of Dallas, GA, formerly of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, John Wesley Burdett. Mrs. Burdett is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and David McNeal of Winston, GA, Beverly and Kenny Cole of Dallas, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Rita Burdett of Cleveland, GA; granddaughters, Brandy Roquemore (Jason), Neoma Walker (Jacob), Shanda Schaefer (Andy), Adrienne McNeal-Quick (Scott); great-grandchildren, Carson Cannon, Jevin Meza, Payten Calvert, Gracey Roquemore, Hyatt Roquemore, Noah Schaefer; sister, Marie Stewart of Canton, GA; brothers, Buddy (Marilyn) Power of Gainesville, GA, George (Pam) Power of Dawsonville, GA, David Power of Dawsonville; sister-in-law, Selma Power of Dallas; nieces, Sara Lee Reed, Mary Anna Haney; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Burdett was born on April 5, 1934 in Fulton County. She attended Northside High School in Atlanta. Mrs. Burdett was retired from the grocery business from Quality Foods in Winder, GA. She was a past matron of Eastern Star Chapter 317. Mrs. Burdett was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church in Gainesville.

The family would like to give a special “thank you” to the staff and care team at The Birches at Villa Rica. The

executive director, Rita Miller, staff, CNAs and residents for their care and love showed to mother over the last three years. Mother was lovingly known as “The Flower Lady”. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Vernon and Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
