James Raymond (Ray) Zoller
April 2, 1957 to October 2, 2024
James Raymond Zoller died peacefully after a short illness. Known as Ray, he was born in Macon, Georgia. After moving to Gainesville in elementary school, Ray began to show his prowess in football. In 1971, the family moved to Yorba Linda, California where he played football at Troy High School in Fullerton, California. He was a High School All-American and 5 Star recruit upon graduation from high school in 1975. He attended The University of Southern California and played football until a knee injury ended his playing days. He continued helping the Trojans recruit players and was instrumental in the formation of the 1979 National Championship Team. He graduated in 1980 with a Business degree.
After college, Ray was an entrepreneur and at the time of his death was retired.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Myra Meek Zoller. He is survived by his father, Linwood W. Zoller, Jr and his brothers, Linwood W. Zoller, III and Sim A. Zoller and their wives, as well as 5 nephews and 1 niece and 3 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
He will be missed by many and we are in appreciation of a life that was taken too soon.
