Troy Evans

Troy Evans, age 58, of Belt, Montana, passed away on October 1, 2024, in Dahlonega, Georgia. Born on July 5, 1966, in Gainesville, Georgia, Troy was the son of the late Steven Evans and the late Linda Gaddis Coker.

Troy will be remembered fondly for his exceptional craftsmanship, particularly in the art of building timber frame houses, a skill that earned him admiration throughout Montana. He had a deep-seated love for the state and was known as both an avid outdoorsman and a tireless worker. His dedication to his craft mirrored his devotion to his family, whom he supported unwaveringly as their rock and biggest advocate.

In his 40 years of marriage, Troy shared a loving bond with his wife Michelle Evans of Belt, Montana. He is survived by his children Breanna (Steven) Glazier of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and Jacob Evans of Belt, Montana; siblings Tim (Jessica) Evans and Cindy (Marc) Pfrogner, both of Dahlonega, Georgia; grandchildren Brice Glazier and Hayden Evans; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, where The Rev. Scott Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
