Jean Morton Young

Jean Morton Young, age 84, of Cornelia, GA (formerly of Buford, GA) passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Robert Young; parents, Ernest and Bertie Mickler Morton.  Mrs. Young is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Robbie) Lynn of Cornelia; son, Terry (Patricia) Young of Toccoa, GA; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Garner of Braselton, GA; brothers, Harry (Karen) Morton of Snellville, GA, Anthony (Virginia) Morton of Buford; sisters-in-law, Dottie (Randy) Cronic, Ann (James) Myerholtz; Sue (Johnny) Davis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was born on March 29, 1940 in Unadilla, GA.  Mrs. Young was a graduate of Buford High School and was retired from J. M. Tull in Norcross, GA with twenty-five years of service.  She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church located in Sugar Hill, GA.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Wigley officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA 30518.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
