Judy Cash Townsend

Mrs. Judy Cash Townsend, age 73 of Wesley Circle, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the Stephens County Hospital. 

A daughter of the late J.B. Cash and Lucille Mize Cash Nix, she was born August 8, 1951 in Eatonton, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County, Georgia.  She was a graduate of Toccoa High School, Class of 1969. She was retired from Wright’s Manufacturing as a clerical worker.  She was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church and the Journey Sunday School Class.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, going to the beach, loved to help people and her family.  She was very active in the community, loved visiting in the nursing home.  She loved Jesus, loved her pastor and her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bubba Cash and by a sister, Joni Byrd. 

Survivors include her husband of the home, James “Jim” Townsend; sons and daughters-in-law, Bronson and Kim Ivester of Carrollton, Georgia, Jason and Megan Ivester of Buford, Georgia and Brandon and Staci Ivester of Toccoa, Georgia; grandchildren, Brooklyn Jake, Ridley, Lana, McKinley, Olivia, Boston and Baylor Ivester; a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024, 3 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, October 6, 2024, 12 p.m. until the service time at 3 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Inturnment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Judy Cash Townsend.
