Bobbie Jean Reed

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Reed, 88, of Gillsville, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at her residence following a brief illness.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Timothy Reed and Rev. Matthew Vandegriff will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on June 10, 1936 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Garnett and Pansy Mabry Truelove. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy H. Reed.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Rev. Timothy and Edwina Reed of Clermont, Terry Joseph and Barbara Reed of Gillsville, Todd Matthew and Margie Reed of Gainesville, Tyler Jonathon and Renee Reed of Gainesville; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Gwen Watson of Gainesville and a number of other loving relatives.

Flowers will be accepted however those who wish, may make contributions to the charity of your choice.
