Mickey Wilson White

Mickey Wilson White, 58, of Buford Georgia, passed away on September 19th, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer.

Mickey was born on September 30th, 1965, to Linda Giles nee White in Florence, Alabama. After Mickey graduated from high school, he studied Nursing at Georgia College and State University.

After graduating with a degree in nursing, he began working at numerous hospitals. He excelled in his field and was known for his amiable bedside manner.  He also proceeded to get his MBA, which he used to progress in his field into hospital management. Not one to rest on his laurels, Mickey also got his real estate license.

One of Mickey’s greatest joys was when his son, Dakota Bailey White, came into his life in 2005. Mickey had so much love to give, and he could not have been happier. Mickey leaves Dakota in the hands of his longtime close friend Lovenston, and his loving mother Linda Giles, Dakota’s grandmother.

Mickey was predeceased by his sister Shelia Kress. He is survived by his son Dakota White, mother Linda Giles, stepfather Billy Giles, brother Mark White, sister-in-law Natalie White, niece Mia White, brother-in-law Justin Kress, stepsisters Tracey Giles and Allison Strickland and stepbrother Perry White. Special note to extended family Lovenston Talbot, Kylie Johnson and Chris Johnson, Nathaly, Corey, Dean and Ty Arredondo, and June Chastain. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, step-nieces and nephews, and a host of close friends and loved ones.

Services will be held at 12 Stone church, 3858 Braselton Highway on September 28th at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, an organization Mickey felt strongly about.
