James Murrell Eubanks

Mr. James Murrell Eubanks, 84, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024.

A Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Alta Vista Cemetery. Mr. Rodney Clark and Rev. Robert Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Born on March 30, 1940 in Newbern, N.C., he was the son of the late Earl James and Annie Murrell Fulcher Eubanks. He was a locksmith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Eubanks was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Rice Eubanks; sister, Shirley Southworth, brother, Charles Eubanks, and longtime companion, Corene Palmer.

Mr. Eubanks is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, his adopted family Gail Palmer of Moore, SC and Debra Moore of Gainesville, Austin and Whitney Palmer of Inman, SC and other loving relatives and close friends.
