Leila Ann Oliver

Leila Ann Oliver left this tired and worn earthly body and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior early in the morning of September 18, 2024 after battling an extended illness. She was 88 years old.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert H Faulkner and Laura (Forrester) Faulker, brother Gerald Faulkner and sister Jimmy Pitchford.

Leila was born October 25th 1935 in Hall County, Georgia and graduated from Clermont High School. On July 2, 1955 she married Myron D. Oliver and remained by his side for 69 years projecting the image of the “helpmate” God desired of her.

She loved the outdoors, her garden and her flowers. She was an excellent cook! Her deserts were outstanding and her “green beans” and “cream corn” will never be forgotten.

She loved all her family and served them well, but most of all, she loved her Lord and spoke of her desire to go home and be with Him only days before passing. She will be missed by all who knew her, but we’re celebrating the victory she has achieved!

She’s survived by her husband of 69 years Myron Oliver, son Tim Oliver (Mary) Hoschton, GA, daughter Lesa Davis (Burton) Cleveland, GA, grandchildren Jared Hodge (Leigh Anne) Gainesville, GA , Rachel Hudgins (Micah) Wetumpka, AL , step-grandson Matt Davis (Lauren) Cleveland, GA and great grandchildren Sutton, Grant, Ashlyn, Emory, Emi and Rhett.

The family is grateful for the love and care given her by the staff at Manor Lake Memory Care (Gainesville) and the staff of Caritas Hospice Care.

The family will receive friends and family at Memorial Park Funeral Home (North Riverside Chapel) on Friday September 20th from 12:00 (noon) until 1:30 pm. A graveside service will be held following @ 2:00 pm @ Holly Springs Baptist Church- 7011 Holly Springs Rd- Clermont, GA  30527. Reverend Lamar Purcell officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Bethany Baptist Church at 900 Cardinal Dr. Gainesville, GA 30501.
