Judy Ann Cofield Brooks

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Judy Ann Cofield Brooks, age 69, of Pendergrass, who passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Mrs. Brooks was born in Jackson County, a daughter to the late Lon and Susie Stockton Cofield. Mrs. Brooks worked at the University of Georgia where she was Dr. Knapp’s secretary. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, sewing, flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin Cofield and Wayne Cofield.

Survivors include her son, Joey Love of Pendergrass; granddaughter, Brianna Love (Lindsey) of Pendergrass; sister, Martha Sue Legg (Bill) of Jefferson; brother, Larry Cofield of Gillsville and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Will Cofield officiating. The burial will follow in the Center Grove Church Cemetery.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
