Hiram P. Gibson

Hiram P. Gibson, age 97, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucinda Robinson Gibson; sister, Emojean Wilkerson; brothers, John Gibson, Terrell Ivan Gibson. Mr. Gibson is survived by his nephews, Clifford (Janice) Gibson of Flowery Branch, GA, Sonny William Wilkerson of Acworth, GA; nieces, Gloria Gibson Walters, Sybil Gibson McDaniel, Evelyn Gibson Marlowe, Linda Wilkerson Fahn, Wanda Wilkerson Charrier; several great-nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

He was born on June 25, 1927 in Brookhaven, GA and graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1943. Mr. Gibson was a retired administer from the Department of Veteran Affairs with over thirty years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed traveling.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
