Everything that happened in his life or thoughts that he had brought the lyrics of a song to mind, and he loved to share those with Nancy

Doug’s love of music was only surpassed by his love for Nancy, his wife of nearly 50 years. Doug and Nancy moved to Georgia in 2009 where they eventually retired, built their dream home, met many new friends, and pursued their love of road trips. Their favorite places included Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, the Great Smokey Mountains, and especially Boothbay Harbor, Maine, their happy place.
