Shirley Ann Parrish

Mrs. Shirley Ann Parrish, 89, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Newbern and Rev. Caleb Parrish will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on June 29, 1935 in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Bertie Smith. Mrs. Parrish was retired from Georgia Mountain Regional Development where she was an administrative assistant. Mrs. Parrish was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a member of the Joy Class.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Parrish, Sr.

Mrs. Parrish is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Wayne and Candace Parrish of Murrayville, Don and Jennifer Parrish of Gainesville; sister, Betty Sullivan of Canton; grandchildren, Caleb and Macey Parrish, Joshua Parrish and fiancé, Sarabeth McClure, Jacob and Abby Parrish, Eli Parrish; great grandchildren, Payton Shirley Parrish, Reid Evans Parrish and a number of other loving relatives.
