Troy Lee Purvis

Troy Lee Purvis, age 85, of Pendergrass, GA passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mary Ellen Purvis; four sisters; and five brothers.

Mr. Purvis is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Debbie Purvis of Pendergrass; daughters, Gerri (Mac) Alexander, Kristy (Dennis) Shirley, Pattie (Roddy) Oliver; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Joann Norfolk; sister-in-law, Veranda (Dale) Edmondson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was born on July 5, 1939 in Vienna. Mr. Purvis was a graduate of Dooley County High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired grocery distributor for Timberlake Wholesale Grocery. Mr. Purvis was a member of the Hoschton Baptist Church in Hoschton. He loved NASCAR racing, golfing, playing pool and traveling.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (7070 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216) with Jeremy Edmondson and Pastor Cory Sexton officiating. Interment will follow at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
