Glenda Edge Vance, age 82, of Clermont, Georgia, took her Heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 06, 2024.
Born in Forest, Mississippi on December 06, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Wafer & Lilla Belle Posey Tucker. Glenda retired as a bus driver with Hall County Schools after 23 years of dedicated service. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, and trips to Helen, Georgia. Most of all, Glenda loved her family tremendously.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton Ezekiel Edge; second husband, Col. Larkin Bilton Vance; son, Brent Edge; brother, Travis Tucker and sister, Maurine Marze.
Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer & Jonny Wiley of Lula, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Johnny Wayne & Sabrina Edge, daughter-in-law, Rita Edge all of Clermont, GA; step-daughter & son-in-law, Denise Vance-Noelle & Holger Noelle of Sterling, VA; brother & sister-in-law, Franklin & Ardith Tucker of Slocum, TX; sister & brother-in-law, Brenda & Steven Seward of Centerville, TX; grandchildren, Payton & Hope Edge of Clermont, GA; Jessie & Cassidy Edge of Arlington, VA; Callie & Brett Murphy of Hendersonville, NC; Mallory Edge of Rome, GA; great-grandson, Charlie Edge of Clermont, GA; step-grandchildren, Aidan Noelle & Austin Noelle of Sterling, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
A Celebration of Glenda’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Kyle Savage & Rev. Jim Ellis officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
