Trevia Lapel Thomas was born on November 11 1974 in Gainesville, Ga. She was preceded in death by her sweet daughter Makayla Thomas; her father the late Alvin Thomas; her aunt Margie Waston, aunt Darlene Morris; Uncle Dude Mack and grandparents Ozelia and James (Dude) Mack Trevia attended High school at East Hall High School and went to college at Emmanuel University. She found joy in the fast-paced game of basketball, often taking to the court with a fiery spirit that inspired those around her. Trevia loved her family, friend and enjoyed being the life of the party. Trevia was also a member of Rucker Memorial Baptist church since a young age. Trevia leaves to cherish her loving memories to her three loving kids Jacques Ash and Maquaylen Thomas & her angel in heaven Makayla K. Thomas ; her mom Louise Thomas and stepdad John Millsap; her sisters Kecia Thomas and Lakia Lester; niece Kelsey Lester and nephews Kameron Purdiman and Kristian Rowe. Her uncle Clancy (Elaine) Mack, aunt Naomi (George) Miller, her Aunt Emma (Frank) Rogers; and her Uncle Charles Waston; Mr. And Mrs. Larry Thomas; and all her loving cousins and close friends Trevia’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Rucker Memorial Baptist Church. Viewing will be held at Wimberly Funeral Home on Friday, September 10, 2024 between the hours of 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Family will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
