Cecil D. Swansey, age 80, of Winder, GA (Formerly of Buford Friendship Community), passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.D. and Blanche Swansey; sister, Janice Revis; brother, Royce Swansey. Mr. Swansey is survived by his children; Cassidy Swansey of Winder, GA, Durrell (Debbie) Swansey of Hoschton, GA, Jimmy Swansey of Hoschton, GA, Teresa (Rodney) Carter of Flowery Branch, GA, Joshua (Stacey) Swansey of Loganville, GA; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (James) Clark of Sugar Hill; Betty Van Garsel of Kentucky, Sara Peppers of Gainesville, GA, Linda Swansey of Flowery Branch, Nancy (Herman) Huskin of Flowery Branch, GA; brothers, Douglas (Penny) Swansey of Flowery Branch, GA, Ronald Swansey of Flowery Branch, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins.

Mr. Swansey was born October 8, 1943 in Flowery Branch, GA. He received his education in the Hall County School System. Mr. Swansey was a cabinet maker and retired from Custom Design Kitchens.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Charles Shadburn officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
