Deborah Carolyn McIntyre Carter

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Deborah Carolyn McIntyre Carter, age 77 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, August 28, 2024.  Mrs. Carter was born in Gainesville, Georgia a daughter of the late Hollis and Lillian Clark McIntyre.  Mrs. Carter was a member of Little Country Church in Commerce, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was loved by her family.  Mrs. Carter was retired from Jefferson Mills.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carter is preceded by a daughter, Lynn Carter Hicks, brothers, Ted and Billy McIntyre, sister, Beth Lingerfelt and grandson, Chad.

Survivors include a daughter, Brandi Carter Bachelor (Billy) of Jefferson, son, Timothy Scott Carter of Lula.  Brother, Bobby McIntyre of Cleveland.  Grandchildren, Summer, Kate, Grace, Payton, Cory, Isiah, Jesse, Jackie and Brittany.  Twelve great grandchildren also survive, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 1, 2024 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Swayne Cochran officiating with burial to follow in Dry Pond Methodist Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home prior to the service.
