Malachi Avery Hall

Malachi Avery Hall, age 38 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Roswell Nursing and Rehab, Roswell, Georgia after a brief illness.

Malachi Avery Hall was born in Toccoa, Georgia on September 16, 1985, a son of John D. Hall and Frankie C. Hall.  Malachi attended Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Stephens County. He learned many useful life skills, including how to use a special communication book to let others know his needs and wants. Malachi will be remembered by his neighbors in Clarkesville for his big smile and enjoyment in going out for rides in his dad’s truck. He liked going to Ingles grocery, the bowling alley, water therapy at Habersham Aquatic Center, throwing a football with his dad or hanging out in the hot tub, and eating a McDonalds Happy Meal. At home his favorite shows were Sponge Bob and Wheel of Fortune. He loved Georgia football and Braves games on radio and TV. He got many hugs from his caregivers and his dad. He always had a big cup of sweet tea with lots of ice and he taught himself to drink it without spilling even while lying down!  He had a good appetite and enjoyed a lot of different kinds of food, but his favorites were probably apple pie and ice cream. He had a diagnosis of RTS, but he was a fighter, and he always bounced back up until the very end. .

He is survived by his father, John D. Hall, his mother, Frankie C. Hall, a sibling, Corey Carpenter, his aunt, Mary Hixson, and a number of cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, the late Roland A. Hall and the late Alma H. Hall of Toccoa, and his maternal grandparents, the late Frank Carpenter and the late Cora D. Carpenter of Blairsville, and his uncle Tim Hixson of Toccoa

A celebration of Malachi’s life is planned for Saturday, September 14, 2024, 11 o’clock a.m. at the Clarkesville Bowling Center, 583 Grant Street, Clarkesville, Georgia.  All are welcome.
