Betty Elaine Sherman departed this life on August 26, 2024 at the age of 72. Betty was born January 14, 1952 to the late James and Charlie Mae Brown. She was a devoted Mother, Sister, and Aunt. She loved cooking, talking on the phone and witnessing to the community about Jehovah.
Sister Sherman received her education from Grenard Watson High. She was a hard worker and provider for her daughters. She was employed by Selectron before retiring to care for her grandson. She attended The Flowery Branch Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Doris Elizabeth Caldwell, and Dorothy Ann Moon; brothers, James William Brown, Franklin Delano Brown, Harry Nathaniel Brown, Rawleigh Benson Brown, and John Wayne Brown.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Maxwell) Cunningham, and Shonda Sherman; sisters, Martha Louise Haywood, Joyce Patricia Mills, and Linda (Wilmer) Jones. A Sister-in-law, Rosie Lee Brown; grandson, Malik Cunningham. She leaves to cherish her memory several nieces, nephews, and a host of good, good friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Brother Andy Stutz officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
