Harry Layton Wimberly

Harry Layton Wimberly, age 86, of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024.

Mr. Wimberly was born on February 26, 1938, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the late Julian and Constance Mainguy Wimberly.  He worked as the public works director for the City of Oakland Park, Florida for 38 years.

Survivors include his wife, Pandora Wimberly, Sautee Nacoochee; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Richard LaCerra, Sautee Nacoochee; sons, David Wimberly and Stephen Wimberly, both of Sautee Nacoochee; grandchildren, Chelsea, Andrew, Alexander, and Ryan.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home, prior to private graveside services at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made in memory of Harry Wimberly to Hope for Hospice – 625 Tribble Creek Drive, Greyson, GA 30017.
