Shirley Jean Mooney Britt

Shirley Jean Mooney Britt, ae 82, of Homer, GA passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.  She was preceded in death by daughters, Deborah Seabolt and Kathy Coggins; parents, John B. and Artha Ann Grogan Mooney; brother, Buster Mooney; sister, Ruby Knight.  Mrs. Britt is survived by her daughters, Vickie Turner of Cornelia, GA, Linda Coggins of Homer; sons, Allen (Marilyn) Coggins of Homer, David Britt of Buford, GA; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Mooney of Lawrenceville, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mrs. Britt was born on July 11, 1942 in Buford, GA.  She received her education in the Buford City School System and was retired from Walmart in Buford as a stock clerk with fifteen years of service.  Mrs. Britt had worked also for American Window and Door and the Barrington Company.  She was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church in Cumming, GA and loved the flowers in her yard.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Roanoke Baptist Church Cemetery (2621 Roanoke Road, Cumming, GA  30041).  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
