Larry William “Sunny” Hamilton

Larry William “Sunny” Hamilton, age 72 of Clarkesville, passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

A lifelong resident of Habersham County, Mr. Hamilton was the son of the late “Bud” G. L. and Vera Mae York Hamilton.  Mr. Hamilton worked in the lumber industry for both C. P. Wilbanks Lumber Company and Mize Lumber Company.  He also processed and sold firewood and was quite a “horse trader” as he loved to buy, sale and trade on various items.  Mr. Hamilton was a member of Amy’s Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hamilton is preceded in death by brother Clyde Hamilton and sisters Brenda Porterfield, Patsy Brock and Linda Mulchi.

Survivors include brothers Ronald A. Hamilton of Clarkesville, James W. Hamilton (Kathy) of Demorest, Leroy Hamilton of Mt. Airy, and Jerry L. Hamilton of Clarkesville as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends and family at Hillside Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
