Jose Luz Miguel Torres Villagomez

Jose Luz Miguel Torres Villagomez, age 66, of Alto, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024.

Born on August 8, 1958, in Guanajuato, Mexico, he was the son of the late Agustin Torres and Julia Villagomez. He owned and operated La Mexicanita before becoming disabled. Jose was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Esmeralda Vasquez Torres; sons: Agustin Torres Vasquez, Jose Torres Vasquez, and Jesus Torres Vasquez; daughters and son-in-law, Julia Santizo Vasquez (Jorge Luis Perez Santizo) and Mariela Torres Vasquez; siblings: Alicia Torres, Salvador Torres, Rafael Torres, Ma Guadalupe Torres, Rosario Torres, Chelo Torres, and Lilia Torres; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. Mark Catholic Church with Father Raul de Leon officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home.
