Virginia Gies Rawlins

Mrs. Virginia Gies Rawlins, age 76, of Hoschton, Georgia passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by family.

Memorial service will be August 29th at and 1:00 PM Eastern at Memorial Park South Chapel with inurnment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.

Mrs. Rawlins was born February 21, 1948 to the late Frederick Thomas & Mazewell Virginia Gies in Newport News, Virginia. 

Mrs. Rawlins is survived by her daughter, Cathy Landreneau of Cumming; her son, Lane Coile of Braselton; her sisters, Alice Gies, Jane Burruss of Myrtle Beach, and Helen Derrick of Newport News, VA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Erle Rawlins; her brother, Charles Gies; and her sisters, Gloria Gies and June Reams.
