Charles Franklin Lewis, “The Bird House Man” age 76, of Gillsville, Georgia, formerly of Cleveland, Georgia, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 10, 2024. He is now experiencing sights we have never seen with a perfect body and voice.
Frank was born December 20, 1947 in Cleveland, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ralph Calvin and Ozelle Ann Crow Lewis.
Frank was an icon at various places in Cleveland and Gainesville, especially Longstreet Café, who graciously allowed him to sell his birdhouses and visit with their employees and patrons.
He will be missed by his friends and his family, especially his wife of 34 years, Brenda Funderburke Lewis, the love and joy of his life. They were truly a match made in heaven.
In addition, Frank is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (Charlie) Thomas, his niece, Charlsie (Joey) Taylor, his nephew, Trey (Laura) Thomas, all of Cleveland, Georgia. One sister-in-law, Lisa (Jerry) Hicks and a host of other nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Gary Crow of Hendersonville, NV.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel, funeral services to follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Reverend Danny O’Kelley and Reverend Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.
