Dawn Murray

We are saddened by the passing of our sister Dawn Murray, she passed away on August 6, 2024, two days prior to her 70th birthday. Dawn is survived by her cat Rocket, brothers David, Steven, Scott, and sister Margaret.

Born in Spotswood N.J. and a graduate of South River High School, class of 1972. Dawn moved to North Miami Beach Fla. Here she met and married Dennis Murray. They returned to N.J. where Dawn started working for Ryder Truck Systems, she remained with Ryder till she retired.

While living in Jersey both Dawn and Dennis were involved with the Jersey Cruisers car club and volunteered at the Philadelphia Zoo. Dawn transferred with Ryder to Georgia, where her and Dennis continued to volunteer at Zoo Atlanta. Dawn had a lifetime love of animals, she cared for a variety of pets, dogs, cats, and birds. She continued this love by caring for the strays in her area. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the home of her brother Scott.
