Mrs. Shirley McGee Langford, 82, of Monroe, GA, formerly of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. David Crisp and Chaplain Ray Pennant will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Born on September 7, 1941 in Gwinnett County, she was the daughter of the late Schuyler and Cleo Holeman McGee. She was retired from Lanier Employment Services and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Langford was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Adams Gearin, three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Langford is survived by her husband, Jarell Langford of Monroe, GA; daughter and son in law, Shannon Langford Shipp and Scott Shipp of Madison, GA; son, Tony Ford of Oxford, GA; sons and daughters in law, Terry Wayne and Sandi Ford of Monroe, Robert and Traci Ford of Madison, GA; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister and brother in law, Emma Jo and Horace Williams of Lilburn, GA and a number of other loving relatives.
