Richard Franklin Bache, 89 of Gainesville passed away on July 27, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born on March 15, 1935 in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, he was a devoted husband, father and friend.
Richard graduated from Gainesville High School in 1953 and continued his education at the University of Georgia where he earned his degree in Economics. Richard also received a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Memphis State University.
Richard retired from the United States Air Force as a Major. He was an electronic warfare officer on the B-52 during the Vietnam War. After retirement, he turned his love for antique clocks into a business. Richard was an avid tennis and racquetball player playing weekly until last year. Most every day he could be found working in his yard growing beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables.
Richard leaves behind his wife of 64 years Anna Elizabeth (Peggy), son Harold (Hal) and daughter-in-law Sylvia, daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Noah. He had 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Burial services will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on 8/27/2024 at 3pm.
