Mack Erwin “Bo” Taylor, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Mr. Taylor was born on November 26, 1942, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Maxwell Erwin Taylor and Margaret Naomi Johnson Taylor. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and later worked for Truett McConnell University in security. Bo was a veteran of the United States Army security agency and a member of Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Cora Lee Franklin; brother-in-law, Jerry Nix; and sister-in-law, Ellen Franklin.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Taylor; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Heather Taylor, Brent and Kristie Taylor, and Joseph and Ali Taylor; grandchildren, Max Taylor, Clay Taylor, Jordan Lee (Chris), Jay Taylor (Jade), Easton Taylor, Logan Taylor, and Samuel Sosebee; sister, Barbara Taylor Nix; nephew, Jeffrey Nix (Denise); brother-in-law, LG Franklin (Martha); several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 10, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
