Sylvia “Carroll” DeLozier

Sylvia “Carroll” DeLozier, 90, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024 following an extended illness.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, Ga with a reception afterwards, friends and family are invited.

Born on March 8, 1934 in Dallas, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Buford and Annie Ruth Carroll. She worked as a credit manager for Sears Roebuck where she met her husband Don (Don married her because Sears guaranteed satisfaction or your money back).

Mrs. Sylvia loved to help people. Some of the ministries she was involved in were; The Masters Inn Ministries where she was a hospitality director for 2 years, Gainesville Care Center where she was the First Full Time Director for 3 years, and taught Sunday School for many years. She belonged to Concord Baptist Church for over 35 years. Above all she was a Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.

Mrs. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 67 years Don DeLozier. Her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Vicki DeLozier, her daughter Debbie McKinney, her son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Lori DeLozier, her 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her 4 great-great grandchildren and her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Robert Lewis.
