Mary Nell Parr

Mary Nell Parr, 92, of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Dale Vaughn will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, August 1, 2024 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Parr was born September 28, 1931 in Etowah County, AL to the late Hilary and Nona Vaughn. She was retired from Gainesville Manufacturing and was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center.

Mrs. Parr was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Odel Garza, Phyllis Barry, Veraline Miller and brothers, Lee Arlen Vaughn and James Vaughn.

Mrs. Parr is survived by her brother and sister in law, Dale and Helen Vaughn; son, Kenneth Phillips; daughters, Sandra Mullin, Kay Phillips, Susan Coley and Mycki Little all of Gainesville; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
