Joyce Montgomery Tucker

Joyce Montgomery Tucker, 83, of Buford, GA, died Monday, July 29, 2024. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 4:30 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jerry Bennett will officiate. Interment will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 6 PM – 8 PM at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in memory of Joyce.

Joyce is survived by her husband Rex Tucker of Buford, GA; children, Dina Duncan Farmer (Jay) of Adrian, GA, David Duncan (Kim) of Buford, GA, Sherri Duncan Schaber (Marty) of Buford, GA, Russell Tucker (Amanda) of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Jarrett Farmer (Kristy), Kami Lynn (Blake), Ashley Keifer (Tyler), Jordan Duncan, Jessica Irving (Chris), Dylan Pugh, Madison Fulcher (Cayden), Ryland Tucker; great grandchildren, Ryder Keifer, Rhett Keifer, Timsley Pugh, Mason Irving, Carolyn Irving, Hunter Lynn, Hannah Lynn, Jasper Lynn, Paisley Fulcher, Seth Farmer, Lilly Farmer; sister-in-law, Gail Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Duncan; parents, Rev. Tom and Annie Lee Freeman Montgomery; brother, J.W. Montgomery; sisters, Barbara Thornhill (Harold), Sue Harris (Jessie); son-in-law, Timothy Pugh.

Joyce was a lifelong resident of Buford. She retired as a caregiver at Brookside Assisted Living and was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
