Shirley Glover Lipsey

Shirley Glover Lipsey, age 77, of Buford, GA passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Clara Mae Glover; sisters, Frances Glover, Gene Pruett, and Gwen Reagan; and brother, Royce Glover. Shirley is survived by her son, Jeffery Westbrooks, of Buford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jeff and Jody Jones, of Hoschton, GA; grandson and fiancé, Hunter Jones and Amber Trip of Cumming, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Darryl and Sheila Glover of Buford; sister-in-law Janet Glover of Buford, GA as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley was born on July 24, 1947, in Buford, GA. She attended North Gwinnett High School and remained in the Buford area for most of her life. Shirley enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and it was not unusual for a dinner intended for five would result in a table of a dozen or more, nor for her to bake two or three cakes in a day to share with loved ones. She loved gardening, baking, sewing, square-dancing, and “decking the halls” for Christmas. Mostly, she enjoyed being “Grand” to her one and only grandchild, Hunter. Honoring Shirley’s wishes, there will not be any type of service.
