Zeporah “Sophie” Walley

Mrs. Zeporah “Sophie” Walley, age 78, of Hoschton passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Dave Channell will officiate.  The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2024 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Born July 2, 1946 to the late Dewitt & Dell Dove in Madison County, Georgia, Mrs. Walley was the owner/operator of Hancock Fabrics and member of Christ Place Church.

Mrs. Walley is survived by her daughter, Tammy Mettenberger of Hoschton; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Wesley Dove and Rita Sorrow; and numerous nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Walley; and siblings, Lucille Sexton, Neal Dove, John Dove, twins, Waymon & Wyman Dove; and Betty Craig.
