A time to be born: Linda Ann Moore was born on February 4, 1953 to the late Lonnie and Janie Moore in Gainesville, Georgia. A time to learn: Linda graduated from Monroe High School in Albany, GA in 1971. She attended Lainer Area Technical School. A time to Work: She was employed by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice after she retired from the Hall County Sheriff Department. A Time to Live: Linda was an active member of Faithful Christian Worship Center. Reverend Adrian Niles was her pastor. She found joy in traveling and planning events. She would start decorating for Christmas on Thanksgiving Day. The sounds of Motown’s Temptations Christmas music could be heard playing all over the house and in her car starting in November. Linda looked forward to baking and preparing her Christmas goodies for family and friends. A time of Transition: Linda departed this life on Thursday July 18, 2024 while doing what she loved best, traveling. She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Mary Morris, brothers Emmette Moore and Rickey Moore, sister in love Otha Moore. Cherish Memories: Linda leaves to cherish her loving memories her daughter Monica Williams, brother Lonnie (Sandra) Moore, sister P. LaVerne Moore, nieces, Tricia Cromwell, Richelle Moore, Patsy Casey, Sharon Jones, Stephanie Dixon, Christine Moore, nephew Mike Morris, adopted nephew Cedric Rucker and a host of cousins and friends. Her favorite quote: “I’m going to live my best life.” And that she did.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 between the hours of 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Wimberly Funeral Home. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
