Charles Willard Sertain

Mr. Charles Willard Sertain, age 62 of Toccoa passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at Picture of Life Assisted Living.

A son of the late William David Sertain and Ruth Turpin Sertain, he was born March 14, 1962 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was employed with Trogdon Furniture Company for a number of years but due to his health, he had to retired.  He was of the Baptist faith and attended Welcome Faith Baptist Church.  He loved watching westerns on television.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Sertain and by two infant sisters, Pauline Sertain and Sandra Jean Sertain.

Survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law, Tiny and Alvin Gosnell and Libby Wilburn both of Toccoa; brother, Al Sertain of Toccoa; sister-in-law, Karen Sertain of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 28, 2024, 3 o’clock p.m. at Welcome Faith Baptist Church with The Reverend Ray Bohannon and The Reverend Joel May officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and should assemble at the funeral home by 2:15 p.m., Jesse Gosnell, Dayten Fowler, Braxton Lewallen, Joey Sertain, Tristan Bolemon and Scott Bolemon. 

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday, 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Charles Willard Sertain.
