Brenda Joyce Ricks Snelling

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Brenda Joyce Ricks Snelling, age 79, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday July 19, 2024. Mrs. Snelling was born in Jefferson, Georgia the daughter of the late A. J. “Jack” Ricks and the late Emma Blackwell Ricks.  Mrs. Snelling enjoyed music, watching old western movies, was an avid reader of books of any kind and was a lover of cats.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snelling is preceded by brothers, William H. “Billy” Ricks and Charles Tommy Ricks.

Survivors include a sister Reba Holmes and her husband Leon of Jefferson.  Nephew Eric Holmes, two nieces, Karen Upchurch and Rebecca Cook.  Life Partner,  William “Billy” Hinson.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 22, 2024 from Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, Georgia with Reverend Ernie Bryson officiating.  The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service on Monday.
