George Ray Foster

George Ray Foster, age 77, of Brookhaven, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Delilah S. Foster; son, Shelton Foster; and grandchild, Zach Foster. Mr. Foster is survived by children, Joli Jean Foster Stevens of Baton Rouge, LA, Jennifer Foster Morris of Clarkesville, GA, Stephen George Foster of Brookhaven; and Jacquelynn Marie Foster-Sterling of Louisiana; five grandchildren, Jeanie Stevens, Deven Williams, Foster Barrett, Samuel Morris, and Benjamin Foster; four great grandchildren, Khia, Jaxson, Loreli, and Joshua; and brothers, Charles Foster of West Monroe, LA and Billy Foster of Sterling, LA. Mr. Foster was born on August 1,  1946 in Texas City, Texas. He graduated in 1965 from West Monroe High School, in 1969 from University of Louisiana with a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, and from Louisiana Tech with a Master’s Degree in Engineering, and in 1998 from King Saud University. He was a retired engineer and an airplane pilot. Mr. Foster loved golfing, music, cooking, and crawfish boils. He loved storytelling, and he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 21 from 12:30 p.m. until time for the Service at 2:00 p.m.
